We present: The new saddle tree from Iberosattel with the EWF system

With integrated titanium steel headers for extra withers clearance

WORLDWIDE INNOVATION IN SADDLE DESIGN

In all conventional saddles to date, the gullet plate – a metal bracket that determines the tree width and maintains the saddle's shape – was located under the saddle tree. Thin leather was all that was present between the sensitive spine of the horse and the hard iron.

Naturally, the gullet plate on a well-fitted saddle should never make contact with either the spine or the shoulder blade of the horse. But every horse continues to undergo changes even after the growth stage. They gain or lose weight with the changing seasons or develop more muscle mass during intensive training phases – and the saddle that fit perfectly yesterday suddenly is not so perfect anymore.

Iberosattel's new invention, the EWF system (Extra Withers Freedom) now offers more freedom for the spine, even if the saddle fit is not 100%.

We have integrated the gullet plate so deep into the synthetic material of the saddle tree that even in extreme situations, there is never direct contact between the iron and the spine.

Thanks to significantly more freedom between the withers and shoulders and saddle (up to 12 millimetres!), your horse runs freer and more relaxed.

The saddle tree from Iberosattel with the EWF system is protected by the trademark and patent office.

Notable features:

  • fully integrated titanium steel gullet plate with no irritating edges
  • greater withers clearance, up to 12 mm around the circumference
  • no point-to-point increase at the saddle tree, so no pressure points
  • easily adjustable and flexible
  • various seat depths are possible thanks to the Amazona solution
  • available in seat sizes 17 plus/18 plus

The saddle tree with EWF system benefits both horse and rider:

  • comfortable for riders, more freedom for the horse in all situations
  • easier bending with significantly more clearance between shoulders and saddle
